Slovenian and world boxing champion Dejan Zavec (30 wins, 17 by KO, 1 defeat) defended his IBF title of world champion and retaliated the Pole for the only defeat in his career, which was inflicted on 28 November 2008 in Katowice, Poland.

The Stožice hall was completely full, which empowered Dejan and gave him additional strength to win.
