On Saturday, 5 February 2011, 21 finalists of the Golden Thread were announced in the Slovenian daily newspaper Dnevnik. It is a media-research project that focuses on the relation between employees and companies in order to identify the best employers.

Medis Pharmaceuticals was ranked among the finalists in the category of medium-sized companies. For the third time Medis was recognized as one of the best employers in terms of creative, successful and effective development of employees and organizations.

According to Mr Tone Strnad, General Manager of Medis Pharmaceuticals, the "Golden Thread / ... / is an opportunity to be compared with other companies in Slovenia on the basis of standardized criteria. Of course the comparison cannot be completely objective, but we certainly have a good assessment of where we are as regards the satisfaction of our employees. To be ranked among the best employers, already is special recognition for Medis, as the selection is mostly based on the opinions of employees. Their responses suggest that everybody works well and is very satisfied with Medis. This also means that Medis is undergoing the economic crisis well. In my opinion, we are already winners because in the future only nuances will decide. The re-listing among the finalists is a confirmation that we are a great company and a great team, also in a larger social context, which we have already known for over 20 years of our existence."
