New Medicine for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatism was already known to our grandmothers, it was believed that you should have patience because of the attendant pain and hardening of the joints. Today, the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis has advanced.

Also the Slovenian patients with rheumatoid arthritis now also have the medicinal product certolizumab pegol (Cimzia) at their disposal, a welcome innovation proven to improve patients' physical well-being, reduce disease activity and enable better quality of life. The new drug is produced by the Belgian company UCB Pharma, which is represented in Slovenia by Medis Pharmaceuticals.
